What is the average build time for a system?

Standard Full Build and Barebone system builds usually take 3 to 7 business days, not including shipping time.

How long does shipping normally take?

CPU Solutions ships most of its packages via FedEx or UPS. The shipping time depends on the carrier. You can track your order using the tracking number provided when your order ships. This will give you an estimated delivery date. If you want to know the standard shipping times to your area, you can use the shipping calculator available on UPS.com or FedEx.com.

How much is shipping?

You can be confident that the shipping costs for your order are meticulously calculated. They are precisely based on the shipping service you choose, as well as the size and weight of the items you have ordered. Our software is directly connected to UPS and FedEx, ensuring you receive up-to-date and accurate shipping costs. If you have already added items to your cart, you can get an estimate of the shipping charges by clicking on the "Estimated Shipping Charges" link located below the checkout buttons in your cart. Here, you can view the weight of your order and receive pricing information for shipping charges.

Where can I ship my order to?

To ensure the safety of our customers, we will only ship orders to addresses that have been validated and matched with the credit card billing address. Please verify the shipping address to prevent any possible fraudulent activity. We apologize for any inconvenience. We do not ship orders to PO boxes. Furthermore, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept orders for delivery to APOs.

Where is CPU Solutions located?

CPU Solutions is based in Middleton, Wisconsin, just outside the state capital of Madison. Our retail store is open to local customers who prefer to pick up parts or systems and save on shipping costs. While we welcome walk-in orders, we highly encourage customers to call ahead and place their orders to save time when they come to pick up their parts.

Does my system come with technical support?

CPU Solutions provides a one-year warranty for all the systems we build and test. This warranty covers technical support and system repairs for any hardware-related issues. If you encounter any issues with the hardware we sell, our technical support representatives can offer advice and troubleshooting assistance. However, any problems you face with third-party peripherals, such as speakers, printers, cameras, scanners, MP3 players, smartphones, game controllers, etc., should be addressed with the device manufacturer. Please note that we do not provide technical support for configuring third-party applications. If you need assistance with their applications, please get in touch with the software vendor.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

CPU Solutions does not offer financing or payment plans for systems. However, you can take advantage of a Pay Later option at checkout. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Amazon Pay for payment. CPU Solutions offers net terms to government and educational institutions.

How much is tax?

Customers from outside Wisconsin are not charged sales tax on CPU Solutions orders, while Wisconsin residents are required to pay standard state taxes on all purchases.

Do you ever "substitute" parts I order?

CPU Solutions firmly believes that providing customers with quality components is the best way to ensure their satisfaction with their system. This practice helps minimize customer frustration caused by faulty components and reduces the time our technicians spend troubleshooting hardware issues. At CPU Solutions, we use only high-quality components with a proven track record for reliability and a trusted manufacturer's warranty. This ensures that our customers' investments are protected even after the warranty period for CPU Solutions expires. CPU Solutions will never swap or substitute hardware on an order without notifying the customer. We will only do so when compatibility or performance concerns, stock availability, or discontinued items arise. In any of these cases, CPU Solutions will contact the customer and work with them to determine the best solution for their system.

Do I get the Windows box and CD and key?

Yes. If you order Windows with your system, you will receive the disk, COA (certificate of Authenticity), and software packaging. As a custom system builder, CPU Solutions commonly sells OEM Windows, which is only available with a system purchase. This provides our customers with more savings and a wider range of software.

I can't find my Windows key?

Your Windows key will typically be located in the upper right corner of the side panel of your system unless specified otherwise in your order notes.

I'm not 100% sure about my configuration, can you review my order?

Yes. We are happy to review any component selections you are unsure about. Please feel free to submit a quote for us to review.

Do you offer quantity pricing or discounts?

Yes. Quantity pricing is available on any item.

If you are interested in quantity pricing on custom systems, please submit a quote to our sales department.

What is your "Privacy Policy"?

CPU Solutions takes the privacy of our customers very seriously. As such, we will never share any of your personal information with any third-party businesses, ever!

Our website employs current PCI compliance standards, SSL, Security Certificates, and Buy Safe services to ensure secure online transactions.

We require a telephone number and email address for orders. We will only contact customers with questions directly related to their order. We will never use this information for marketing purposes.
