What is the average build time for a system?

Standard Full Build times usually range between 3 to 7 business days and Barebone system builds usually take about 3 to 7 business days. This does not include shipping time.

How long does shipping normally take?

CPU Solutions sends out most packages via FedEx or UPS ground. Shipping time is determined by the carrier. You can check the CPU tracking number that is provided when your order is invoiced to determine the estimated delivery date.

You can use the shipping calculator on UPS.com to get an idea of standard ship times to your area.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs are determined based on the shipping service you choose and the size and weight of your order. Our software is connected directly to UPS and FedEx so we can provide our customers with accurate up to date shipping costs.

If you already have items in your cart you can get a shipping estimate by using the "Estimated Shipping Charges" link below the checkout buttons in your cart. Here it will display the weight of your order and give you pricing for shipping charges.

Where can I ship my order to?

Currently we only ship orders within the US, including Alaska and Hawaii.

CPU Solutions will only ship orders to addresses that verify with the billing address on the credit card. A verified shipping address is required to protect our customers from fraud.

We do not ship orders to PO boxes.

We currently do not accept shipping to APOs. APO shipping charges are calculated after the order has shipped to ensure accurate pricing. Shipping an APO will usually take longer than a standard UPS or FedEx order.

Where is CPU Solutions located?

CPU Solutions is located in Middleton, Wisconsin which is directly outside the state capital of Madison.

We have a retail store front for local customers who wish to pick-up parts or systems to save on shipping costs. Walk-in orders are welcome although we encourage customers to call in orders ahead of time to save time when picking up parts

Does my system come with technical support?

All systems that are built and tested by CPU Solutions come with a one year warranty. This warranty covers technical support and system repairs for hardware related issues.

Technical support representatives can offer advice and troubleshooting assistance on a wide range of issues pertaining to the hardware we sell.

Issues unrelated to the system hardware or related to third party peripherals (speakers, printers, cameras, scanners, mp3 players, smart phones, game controllers, etc.) should be addressed with the manufacturer of the peripheral.

We cannot provide technical support for software configuration of third party applications. Please contact the software vendor for assistance with their applications.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Currently CPU Solutions does not offer financing or payment plans for systems. PayPal Buy Now Pay Later is available at checkout.

For payment we accept all major credit cards, PayPal and Amazon Pay.

CPU Solutions offers net terms to government and educational institutions.

How much is tax?

Wisconsin residents are required to pay standard state taxes on any purchases from CPU Solutions.

We do not charge sales tax to orders shipping outside of Wisconsin.

Do you ever "substitute" parts I order?

CPU Solutions operates under the firm belief that providing quality components to our customers is the best way to ensure you are happy with your system.

This practice helps us minimize customer frustration caused by faulty components and reduces the amount of time our techs spend troubleshooting failed hardware.

As such, CPU Solutions uses only high quality components that have a proven track record for reliability as well as a trusted manufacturer warranty. This ensures our customer's investments are protected even after the CPU Solutions warranty period has expired.

CPU Solutions will never swap or substitute hardware on an order without notifying a customer and will only do so for reasons including compatibility or performance concerns, and stock availability or discontinued items.

In any of these cases CPU Solutions will contact the customer and work with them to determine the best solution for their system.

Do I get the Windows box and CD and key?

Yes. If you order Windows with your system you will receive the disk, your COA (certificate of Authenticity, and software packaging.

As a custom system builder CPU Solutions commonly sells OEM Windows which is only available with a system purchase. This provides more savings to our customers, and a wider range of software.

I can't find my Windows key?

Your Windows key will typically be located on the upper right corner on the side panel of your system, unless specified otherwise in your order notes. (For some of our sleek cases customers request their keys be place on the back of the system.)

I'm not 100% sure about my configuration, can you review my order?

Yes. We are happy to review any component selections you are unsure about. Please feel free to submit a quote for us to review.

Do you offer quantity pricing or discounts?

Yes. Quantity pricing is available on any item that has a gold dollar sign next to it.

If you are interested in quantity pricing on custom systems please feel free to submit a quote to our sales department.

What is your "Privacy Policy"?

CPU Solutions takes the privacy of our customer very seriously. As such we will never share any of your personal information with any third party businesses, ever!

Our website employs current PCI compliance standards, SSL, Security Certificates and Buy Safe services to ensure your online transactions are secure.

We require a telephone number and email address for orders, only to contact customers in the event of questions directly related to their order. We will never use this information for marketing purposes.

If you accidentally opted into our mailing list you can easily unsubscribe using the links provide in the mailer.
